This may be shocking to hear from me but it turns out Christianity IS real.
All of it.
Not because there’s a god in the sky and pearly gates and a baby Jesus with a virgin mother, but because it’s the story that we’re writing into existence.
The antichrist, the four horsemen, the rapture, the apocalypse… it’s all happening because we’re making it happen. It’s our fate because we’re making it our fate. We wrote the prophecies and then we made the choices that make them true.
We wrote them as warnings but we forgot that we wrote them.
This is the irony of man. We see our stories as truths. Something outside of our selves. We don’t recognize that WE are the god in our stories.
We are the creator.
We are the destroyer.
We are the savior.
We are the demons.
We are the devil.
We are not who we think we are.
Our single greatest achievement was the invention of the fictitious entity. It allowed us to band together in large groups and take over the world. Bound by our unifying symbols.
A god.
A tribe.
A nation.
A corporation.
We so easily forget that these fictitious entities aren’t real.
And that we made them.
It’s our choice and we blindly follow the path that we’ve written for ourselves, all the while holding FAITH that it is not our selves but something else. Something beyond our control.
And so it’s true. God will punish us. Because we’ve made that choice.
We’ve chosen arrogance. We’ve chosen greed. We’ve chosen intolerance.
